Beijing Municipal Commission of Family Planning has the following major responsibilities:
1. To draw up medium- and long-term schedules and annual plans for population control.
2. To gather population data including births and birth control, analyze family planning, supervise and examine the enforcement of family planning policies.
3. To engage in the publicity and education of population and family planning, work on technological research and management of medicines and equipment.
4. To offer technical direction and consultancy service.
6. To undertake other relevant assignments from Beijing Municipal Government.
