Beijing Municipal Administration of Quality, Technology Supervision and Quarantine has main responsibilities include the following:
1. To implement state policies and regulations on quality, technology and supervision administration, to draft and implement local rules and specifications on quality, technology and supervision administration in Beijing.
2. To manage all quality supervision and inspection work in Beijing. To handle product quality complaints, disputes, product quality arbitration and authentication. To oversee the establishment and management of quality and supervision organizations.
3. To draft strategies to improve quality and supervision work of Beijing and raise the awareness of local famous brand names. To carry out investigation about major product quality accident and to grant permission certificate for industrial products manufacturing.
4. To supervise the establishment of various standards and to oversee the implementation of national and industrial standards in Beijing. To draft, approve and publish various local and technological standards. To manage the filing and registration of enterprises standards and to oversee the implementation of these standards. To supervise work related to organization and commodity codes.
5. To promote and organize the execution of the national measurement.
6. To supervise local enterprises to set up quality management and assurance systems and to handle filing of records regarding enterprise quality assurance system, product quality and safety assurance certification.
7. To supervise safety issues of special equipment like boilers, pressure vessels, elevators and blast protection electronics and oversee the inspection of boilers and pressure vessels import and export.
8. To draft overall strategies and plans for development on quality, technology and supervision administration and to oversee the promotion, training, technology and information work related to quality, technology and supervision administration。
9. To manage Huabei State Measurement Testing Center
10. To undertake other relevant assignments from Beijing Municipal Government |
