Office of Letters and Calls of CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the People¡¯s Government of Beijing Municipality has the following major functions:
1. To deal with the letters and visits from the people, as well as the Mayor's hotline.
2. To handle people's letters, receive people's visits and deal with the calls to the Mayor. To report the government regarding important current information and situation about Beijing and submit solutions to the questions and issues put forward by the people.
3. To supervise staff training and promote office automation construction.
4. To handle issues which require coordination of multiple government departments and regions.
5. To be responsible for publicizing state and local policy and regulations to Beijing people.
6. To collection Beijing people's opinions on political, economic, cultural and city management.
7. To undertake other relevant assignments of State Bureau for Conducting People's Letters, Beijing Municipal Government and Chinese Communist Party Beijing Committee.
