Beijing Municipal Office of Civil Defense has the following major functions:
1. To organize the overall air defense work of the city according to related laws and regulations.
2. To promote and organize the comprehensive development and utilization of the existing air defense project and equipment.
3. To participate the plan and design of air defense projects.
4. To organize the research on air defense.
To undertake other relevant assignments from Beijing Municipal Government and Beijing National Defense Mobilization Commission.
