Vice president of IBI, Mr. Han litao received Mr. Walter W. Turner, president and CEO of Koppers Inc, Pittsburgh, PA, US, and his visiting group on the morning of Dec, 12th, 2006. Mr Han introduced the function and position of IBI as a service platform for the Beijing municipal government to the guests. And Mr. Turner expressed his willingness to utilize the platform IBI offered to extend Koppers’s business in china. Mr. Turner introduced that, Koppers is an international company and leading producer of chemical, carbon compunds and treated wood products. Koppers entered China from 1994, and established a joint venture, Koppers China Carbon and Chemical Co. Ltd. with Tangshan Iron and Steel Group Co. Ltd (TISCO) in 1999. Recently, Koppers has set up a representative office in Beijing and about to establish another joint venture together with Anshan Iron and Steel Group. Co. Ltd, and TISCO. Currently, Koppers is mainly focused on carbon chemical business in China and planning to start wood treatment business in the near future.

 Both sides exchanged views on how Koppers start wood treatment business and how Koppers employ qualified people in china.
